Build a Christmas Tree Craft Tips for Success

It makes a great morning activity that they can do and come back to hours or days later. Children will love playing with this craftivity over and over again. The best part is that every tree they make can be different.
*For older children you can create a tree tracer that they can trace onto green construction paper themselves and cut out. Then they are able to make as many different decorated Christmas tree crafts as desired.
*For younger children you can cut out the Christmas tree templates ahead of time. Cut out a large pile of them and then leave the items in an organizer for them to decorate when desired. They can choose as many as they’d like this way.

- Construction paper

Directions:
1. Print out a Christmas tree template like the one from onelittleproject. Use it to trace Christmas trees onto green construction or cardstock paper and cut them out.
2. Set out a bin or organizer full of different tree decorating items like beads, glitter glue, sequins, pom poms, felt, paper strips, stickers, pipe cleaners and more.
3. Allow children to decorate their tree however they want using the embellishemnts as ornaments. They can also color them if desired as well.
*Optional: Using a hole punch, punch a hole in the top of each tree and string them with a string a few inches apart to create a fun Christmas tree decoration for the home.
