Corn Handprint Craft Tips for Success
- When making this fun corn handprint craft, you will need to use your child’s handprint as the corn base. For the best keepsake version, you should use acrylic or washable paint to paint your child’s hand and then stamp your child’s handprint down on the piece of paper.
- You can also make a mess-free craft by using a piece of yellow construction paper and tracing your child’s handprint and then cutting it out.
- You will definitely need to assist young children with this craft. You can even make it with kids as young as babies and toddlers and just complete the details on your own. IT would make a great gift from a daycare to parents, from a child to grandparents, and more.
- Older children can do this craft pretty independently but may need help with their handprint to minimize any mess that they might make.
- You can complete the details of the craft by drawing them on or using construction paper. We used construction paper for the leaves and drew the face, corn lines, and a cute saying with a marker. You can use googly eyes or draw on the eyes.
- When finished with this craft, you can add a cute saying, your child’s name, and the year so you remember their age when their hands were that small. Some cute corn/harvest sayings include:
- You’re a-maize-ing!
- Sweet corn picked just for you!
- A-maize-ing little kid
- Shucks, you’re cute!
- Little Hands, Big Memories
- You are ear-resistible!
- Have a-maize-ing day!
- A Harvest of Love
- Sweet as corn
- You’re the cream of the crop!
- Thankful for Little Hands
- Little ears, big smiles
- From little hands comes something a-maize-ing
- Happy Fall, Y’all!
