Lacing Jellyfish Craft and Free Template For Kids

Jul 22, 2021

This jellyfish craft for kids is the perfect ocean animal craft. It uses the free included jellyfish template, teaches coloring, cutting, and lacing skills, and is perfect for kids ages 2 all the way up to 10+.

This craft is a great craft to help with fine motor skills. It includes lacing practice and gives little ones the opportunity to play and explore different color beads as well as work on counting skills.

Sort beads onto the matching color pipe cleaner to work on color recognition. Add 1 bead to the first pipe cleaner, 2 to the second, and so on for number recognition.

This under the sea craft could be seen as both a jellyfish craft and an octopus craft. If you are looking for other ocean animal or under the sea crafts be sure to also check out this shark craft as well.

Two versions of this craft jellyfish are included on the template. The jellyfish on top is shown with 8 circles for holes to add 8 tentacles (pipe cleaners) to. These can be one single color, patterned, or all different colors.

The other version of this jellyfish craft doesn’t have any circles for holes included. You can choose to have a smaller number of tentacles and use the hole punch to create spots where desired for these. This is recommended for younger children to make the lacing process easier. I found 4 was a great number for my preschooler when creating hers.
