Letter K Show and Tell Items

Tips for Show and Tell Success

*Be sure your child can carry their show-and-tell item themselves. Anything too large or too heavy may be tough for this.

*Show and tell items should be school appropriate and grade-level-appropriate. What is okay for a 4th grader to bring in for a show and tell day may be completely different than what is appropriate for a kindergartener. If you are unsure if something is school appropriate check with your child’s teacher first.

*If bringing in an item like a food item, animal to show, or something else that may need extra assistance be sure to check with your child’s teacher first.

*Prep your child before show and tell. Let them help pick out their item and then have them think about some things they could say about it once it is their time to share at school.

*Do not send in anything that you don’t want to get broken or lost. Children are still working on responsibility at this age and their items may get broken or lost. Keep this in mind and don’t send in anything of sentimental value or that can’t be easily replaced.
