Letter Match Valentine’s Day Activity Set-Up Tips
*There are four different free printable PDF choices for sheets to use. For this activity, you will need to print out one of the plain heart sheets with nothing written in them and one of the other heart sheets with uppercase or lowercase letters (depending on what your child needs to work on).
*Be sure to use a pencil to write the letters on the empty heart sheet. A pencil will stay hidden the best under the red crayon or marker. Other writing utensils can be seen better without the decoder tile.
*You can use a red crayon or marker to cover up the pencil letters. Scribble in all different directions (not just one direction) to really cover and hide the pencil letters better. Be sure to use red as it hides the letters the best but still allows the decoder to easily uncover them. Also, be sure to use a red magnetic tile to decode your letters.
*Once all prepped by writing out the letters in pencil and coloring them with a red marker or crayon you can leave it at this and let kids have fun decoding the letters or you can choose to cut out each of the individual hidden hearts like shown. Then kids can choose one, decode it with the magnetic tile, and set it on top of (or color in) the matching letter on the uppercase or lowercase letter sheet.
