Gift Ideas for Moms

Mother’s Day is just around the corner, and I have put together a list of some of my favorite gift ideas for moms of little ones. These are gifts that I’ve received, given, or think would be super great to have around the house.

While Mother’s Day is on our mind this gift guide for Moms would also be great to use when looking for Christmas idea gifts for Moms, birthday ideas for Moms, and more.

The majority of these items are ones that I have had good experiences with or know people who have been gifted them and are happy with the items. The list includes different items for self-care, clothing ideas, kitchen and cooking ideas, and more.

Mother's Day Gift Ideas Pins

1. Mama Sweatshirts and Shirts

I love a good “mama” themed shirt or sweatshirt. Perfect for lounging around the house in or wearing out on an excursion with little ones. These two choices are both super soft and so cute. They have so many styles to choose from but these are some of my favorites.

2. A New Cookbook

I always struggle to think of good dinner ideas so I love when my husband and girls gift me new cookbooks to help with ideas. Two of my favorites that we have include Johanna Gaine’s Magnolia Table cookbook (if you can have all things gluten and dairy-filled), or the “Gluten and Dairy Free Cookbook” if you can’t. I’ve found some delicious dinner ideas in these and love that for many I have all the items on hand already.

3. Sunglasses

As a mom of little ones, I am always losing or finding my sunglasses broke somewhere (thanks to the help of said little ones). I love big packs of polarized inexpensive sunglasses and always need more. These are some of my favorite ones that I have been gifted by my girls.

4. Bissell Little Green Machine

This is the absolute best machine out there. As a mom to two girls under 4, we have a lot of spills, accidents, and messes at our house. This has saved my carpet so many times it is hard to count. It is a little pricier but definitely worth the money and worth the hype. Not the most fun Mother’s Day gift but definitely a necessity in our house.

 5. Digital Photo Frame

This is the perfect Mother’s Day gift for Grandma or Mom. We have gifted these to our Mother’s and they absolutely love them. We can send pictures of the grandkids to them with our phones and they can be surprised with new pictures (or add their own) anytime. It is such a fun and interactive gift to give.

6. Candles

Candles are one of my favorite self-care items. Perfect for setting up near the bathtub or for lighting to help odd smells around the house. The woodwick ones are awesome because you can hear the crackling like a fireplace and they last super long. We also love good soy candles around our house. They all smell amazing and also last a long time.

7. Hot/cold Water Bottles

These hot and cold water bottles are seriously the best. They keep things cold all day long which is perfect for busy Moms on the go. Fill them up and bring them to a child’s sporting event, use them when nursing the baby in the middle of the night, or bring them on a family excursion outside and the liquid will stay cold. They are by far my favorite (and mys husband lovers them so much that he steals mine daily!).

8. Rubbermaid Storage Containers

What better gift for Mom then something practical? These Rubbermaid storage containers are my sbsolute favorite. They are made for produce and have special design to keep produce from going bad. Everything I put in them lasts way longer  and they are easy to clean and store as they stack inside of each other. These are a must-have for Moms who find they let produce go bad before using it up. They’ve saved us a lot of money!

9.Necklace/Jewelry

These super simple Mama necklaces are the perfect inexpensive gift for Moms. they go with everything and are the perfect item to wear on a night out, to a baby shower, holiday, etc…

10. Homemade Gifts, Crafts, Spa Day, Questionaire, Etc…

Homemade gifts are the best gift as they make awesome keepsakes and help you to remember your kids at a certain age. We love making these handprint mason jars and filling them with flowers for Grandma.

I also absolutely love the idea of an at-home Mother’s Day spa. It is the most fun way for your child to pamper you and a great way to spend a day together.

Lastly, I love when my children come home with Mom questionnaires from school like this one from supermomlife. They are so fun to read and look back on when the little ones get older. If your child is about three years old or older they can answer the questions and you can fill them in. For older children, they can write the answers on their own. They are awesome to do for Grandmas, Moms, and any other special ladies in your life.
